Introspective

There are weeks that get too busy with life
for me to be introspective.
Some weeks are so far off from the normal routine
that I forget to assess the impact of change.

But frankly, crazy times can be liberating.

Comfort zones need expanding or they become cages.

Serenades

I woke up early, very early, and crept downstairs.
I went straight to a source of caffeine.
I was up for a purpose. I had not been told why.
I sat quietly and enjoyed the stillness.

Then the owls started talking together.
They had a long conversation as they moved from tree to tree.
Wow.  I thank Abba, Father for delightful serenades.

Correlating and Sharing

We decided to timeline the journey of our current adventure.
Each of us took time this morning to comb through our journal entries.
We thought it would be fun to highlight the major steps towards victory.

The intensity behind the little steps surprised us.

Looking back and remembering comforted, encouraged, and energized us.
Looking forward we will excitedly hold true to the course set by the Lord.
We have heightened levels of resolve to capture each blessing we notice.
We are expectantly watchful.  Fruitful prayers are nourishing.

Silent Declarations

Thoughts are bouncing around in my mind.
As soon as I cling to one another one vies for attention.
Thankfully, I’m meditating on numerous blessings.
God is good.  That sums it all up.  God is good.

Today, Psalm 19 is more intimately embraced.
Silent declarations can break sound barriers.

Boisterous

My heart is singing this morning.

I’m joining the songbirds.
We are rejoicing together.
We are heralding a new day
and the embracing of a new season.

I cannot sit quietly and absorb.
I’m compelled by love and thankfulness
to release the thrill of an abundant life.

My heart is singing a new, boisterous song this morning.

Click

When things do not click together, I’m usually the problem.
Most of the time, it is because of a lack of knowledge or experience.
Sometimes I just have the sequencing or timing wrong.

But sometimes, things click together beyond my comprehension.
All I can do is rejoice with a happy dance.

I’m so thankful for God given eureka moments.
