Motionless

The pond is flat this morning.  The mirror images are clear.

The only movements are the reflections of passing clouds.

This anomaly will not continue.  Life happens here.

I will absorb the quiet stillness and enjoy this interlude.

Peaceful moments need to be noticed and taken in slowly.

Now, gentle wind currents cause the surface to waver.

Soon movements of normality will take over.

Life has stirred and the ripple effect has begun.

We are not motionless for long stretches of time.

The gift was received and appreciated.
