Sometimes you need to move around to get a better view.
I’m not sure why obvious ideas get sidelined and ignored.
This morning I must just be more curious and attentive.
A glance up from the computer was rewarded.
There was an intriguing sliver of white in the foliage.
I had to readjust to enjoy the treat.
Sitting on the floor, ten feet to the right of my desk,
was the perfect place to perch.
I felt like a little kid playing a spy game.
I had to twist close to the ground and focus.
Aided with binoculars, I watched the large White Egret.
I was reminded of the comforting rhythm of a rocking chair.
The tree branch swayed in the sunshine,
under the weight of the preening bird.
Enjoying a sliver of God’s
creation is a great way to start the day.
