Fresh Perspective

My mind tends to get cluttered.
I’m inclined to overthink possibilities.

A fresh perspective is easier to find
when I view life from a fresh vantage point.

I need to manage my musings.
I need extended, purposeful prayer time.

Today is a good day to refocus.

Strategically Placed

I’m starting the week with a fresh tulip in a bud vase
that is strategically placed next to my computer.
I needed a visual stimulus to remind me to wait patiently.
Some things cannot be rushed.  They must unfold naturally.

My beautiful, little reminder makes me smile.

Pivotal

We are quickly approaching a critical juncture.

Focused brainstorming encourages creativity.
Pivotal prayers remove obstacles and beget clarity.
Excitement builds as we watch puzzle pieces unite.

Thankfully, God has been paving the way before us.

Prayerfully, we will stay on track and remain alert.

PRUNE

            PRUNE

Lord, prepare me.
Cut off the dead wood
that refuses to support life.
The stark nakedness
glares against
the beautiful foliage.
It’s time for the
stiff skeletal sections
to be pruned
and thrown into the fire.
The barren branches
have hung on
too long.

Adventuring

Flying around here is liberating.
Exploration is exhilarating.

My comfort zones are expanding.
My wings are growing stronger.

I’m ready for the next flight lesson.
I’m excited about experiencing 2016.

I’m poised on the edge of my nest.

Embracing A New Year

Last year was about repositioning.
We learned to let go of a few assumptions.
We learned to dream about growing and being retooled.
We accepted the challenge to change.

This year we have to embrace those changes.

We are like toddlers learning to walk.
Thankfully, we are being taught, encouraged,
and watched over
by an awesome Daddy.
