Desire

A peaceful, quiet hush permeates the morning.

The dazzling sunrise heralds in a new day to explore.

My heart applauds the mighty display of God’s creativity.

Some moments seal a promise of dreams unfolding.

It’s time to delve into the possibilities that make my heart sing.

Hidden potential will be exposed and embraced.

The dawn of discovery lingers on the horizon.

Red-tail

A Red-tailed Hawk flew towards me (just above eye level),

banked to the left, and glided away.

I love the vantage point from my treehouse.

I’m thankful for the awesome wonder revealed each day.

The beauty of God’s creation captivates me and infuses me with joy.

The crowds can keep the red-tagged deals found on Black Friday.

I prefer the afterglow of a spectacular sunrise,

shadows dancing on the snow,

and that flight of a Red-tail.

Provision

I’ve heard that there is a snowstorm on the way.

Extra preparations for the week need to be made.

The list of lists is getting longer.

I feel a strong tug to just get on with the day.

The urge to conquer almost caused defeat.

I know that first my attention must

be captivated by Jehovah Jireh.

He is my provision.

Slowing down now and purposely

giving my day to the LORD

enables me to be prepared for the coming storm.

Inspiration

When hope is stirred up in my spirit,

and I embrace the offering,

I’m able to step out of my comfort zone

and dare to dream, again.

Freed from the bondage of self-imposed assumptions, 

and misplaced expectations,

I prayed for direction and started down the path.

New adventures, inspired by God,

are blessings that multiply quickly.

Treasure Seeker

Sometimes I stumble upon tranquil moments.

Usually it means that I awkwardly interrupted someone.

With a smile and a nod I jealously move on

and lament the fact that they got there first.

Words like unwittingly or inadvertently hardly ever describe

actions that precede tranquility.

Today, I’m going to intentionally drive to one of my favorite spots.

Protected pockets of time,

to absorb the peace of God,

are precious treasures that He desires to share

with those who love Him.
