Push Through

In two hours it will be lunch time
and the automatic street lights are still shining.
Their light is not reaching the ground.
They just glow in the low cloud cover.

Some mornings seem doomed from the start.
It is damp, dark, and dreary.

The large flocks of geese pushing through the mist,
seeking new adventures,
remind me to head in a healthy direction.

Somehow, I had convinced myself to move in slow motion.
I need to rise above my mental fog and press forward.
An attitude of calmness is starting to replace my frustration.
