Bedazzled

There are two juvenile Cormorants entertaining me this morning.
It is fun to watch them paddle quickly around in the pond.
They sit so low in the water that diving completely under the surface is easier.
There is a very subtle lift of their head just before they disappear.
Trying to guess when and where they will resurface is futile.
I’m continually amazed by how long they stay submerged.
But what startled me the most was the first time I spied one perched in a tree.
I didn’t know that a bird with webbed feet could do that.

Sometimes my lack of knowledge and imagination astounds me.
Thankfully, God keeps leading me to new experiences.
Witnessing His creativeness is one of my favorite blessings.
