Everywhere my husband and I have lived, God has provided a place for me to look out and gaze into tree branches.  The settings have changed over time, but each home has had a special spot for quiet reflection next to a window with the view of at least one tree.

Now, we live eye level with treetops and have the joy of looking down into a forest that is surrounded by tree covered hills.  Even with the sound of the highway, this place is peaceful.  I’ve chosen to concentrate on the beauty of God’s creation and not the noise of humanity rushing by.  Many times contentment is found by simply adjusting our focus to a healthy perspective.  I am like the sparrow and the swallow who have found a place to nest (read Psalm 84).

In the morning, l can be found in my rocking chair that l turn towards the window.  My feet are propped up on the window sill and pressed against the wood trim.  I have my Bible and my journal.  I pray, read, study, ponder, listen, and write.  I purposefully quiet my soul, sip tea or coffee, stare out the window, listen, and absorb the peace of His presence.  Our time together changes me as I get to know Him better.

One of my favorite ways that my LORD speaks to me is through poetry.  With a picture, freshly painted in my mind, Holy Spirit helps me to understand what my Father wants me to learn.  He comforts me, guides me, and fills me with joy.  My desire is to use this Blog to share the overflow of my heart with my family and friends.

Welcome to my treehouse!
