Healthy Treat

I’m perched here – quietly enjoying the show.

I worship my creator.

I am delighted by His creation.

The birds are very active this morning.

I’ve seen Blue Jays, Robins, 

a small Woodpecker with a red head, 

a Cardinal, and many more 

that I have not learned to identify.

As usual, I can hear even more than I can see.

This ten minute treat, 

time taken to simply sit and notice life around me, 

will become a secret smile 

that I will carry throughout the day.
