Restful Slumber

The blessing of extra sleep is an amazing gift to be savored.

The scarcity of opportunity increases its value.

I love lazy mornings. I used to long for the luxury.

Thankfully, this season of life includes occasional surprises 

of being able to drift back to sleep without reprisals.

I appreciate my LORD’S intimate gift.

Wrapped in a warm fuzzy robe, 

I will pray for Him to direct the rest of my day.

I’m ready for an awesome day with a refreshed body, 

a joyful heart, and hopeful expectations.
