Alerted

I spied on a neighbor.
Maybe, he could feel me watching him through my binoculars.

The groundhog was on alert.
He stood tall.
He scanned the area and listened.
He froze in place, only his nose twitched.
From this far away, I passed the smell test.
He went back to his pursuit of succulent vegetation
and stuffed his face.
He was taking advantage of the time left before hibernation.

God provides.

I’m preparing for changes coming, too.
