The water is extremely low at the lake.
The decline has been gradual and steady.
The docks, designed to float, are resting in the dirt.
They look sad, useless, and discarded.
They are now all form and no function.
They are anchored in place, stuck and waiting for water.
The visual pricks my consciousness.
Thankfully, even during dry times we can move.
Watchfulness enables us to adjust and readjust.
It is vitally important that we remain connected
with the source of Living Water.
